Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Cover Letter

Each submission is required to include a cover letter containing a maximum of 500 words. The cover letter should briefly outline following key details: the importance of the research, the authors' consent for publication, the quantity of tables and figures, any accompanying documents, and additional information.

Title

The title should be a brief phrase, limited to 30 words or less, describing the manuscript's contents without the use of abbreviations.

  • office or personal number(s) of the author(s)
  • ORCiD of the corresponding author(s)

Abstract

The abstract should briefly introduce the topic, outline the scope of the experiments, and highlight significant data. It must summarize the manuscript content within 300 words, using standard nomenclature and avoiding abbreviations. The preferred format covers study background, methods, results, and conclusion.

Keywords

Please provide 3 to 9 keywords and abbreviations which can be used for indexing purposes.

Introduction

The introduction should establish the context of the paper by presenting a compelling study statement. It should incorporate relevant literature to the research title and outline the proposed approach or solution. The introduction should be sufficiently broad to engage readers across various scientific disciplines.

Materials and Methods

The Materials and Methods section should provide a detailed justification of the study design, including descriptions of materials, participants (if applicable), comparisons, interventions, and types of analyses conducted. It should cite previously published procedures and provide comprehensive descriptions of any new procedures employed. Any significant modifications to published procedures should be briefly mentioned. Additionally, trade names should be capitalized, and the manufacturer's name and address should be included if available.

Results and Discussion

This Results and Discussion should provide a thorough account of the experiment, offering all necessary details to support the study's conclusions. It is important to keep Results and Discussion as separate sections. While the Results section should focus solely on presenting findings, speculation and detailed data interpretation should be confined to the Discussion section.

Acknowledgment

Acknowledging the research funding source and expressing special appreciation/thanks to individuals who assisted in manuscript preparation but are not listed as authors is necessary.

Reference

This Journal utilizes an in-text citation style (Last name of author, publishing year) in conjunction with endnotes for insertions. Only cited text references should be included in the reference list, formatted according to the journal's referencing style, arranged alphabetically, and without numbering. Authors are encouraged to prioritize primary sources, though secondary sources may be used in exceptional circumstances or when the original article is in a language other than English. The reference list should include only published works. Abstracts, conference proceedings, or papers that have been submitted but not yet accepted should be excluded. Additionally, online links (Google Scholar or DOI) for each reference should be provided.

Note:

Only first letter of the first word will be capitalize of the research title.

Mention first name only in case of three or more authors followed by et al. 

Italicize the scientific names only (e.g., Malus domestica).

Don’t abbreviate journals’ name, instead write full spelling with first letter capitalize. Use comma at the end of journal’s name (e.g., Social Pulse, )

Use only volume number of the journals followed by page numbers separated with a colon only (e.g., 25: 15-44).

Text Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Word.
  • Use a normal, plain font (e.g., 12-point Times New Roman) for text.
  • Use italics for emphasis.
  • Use the automatic page numbering function to number the pages.
  • Do not use tab stops or other commands for indents in the begin of paragraph.
  • Use the table function, not spreadsheets, to make tables.
  • Save your file in docx format (Word 2007 or higher) or doc format (older Word versions).

Headings

Please use the decimal system of headings with no more than three levels.

Abbreviations

Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

Footnotes

Footnotes serve to provide supplementary information, including referencing sources listed in the reference list. They should not solely consist of a reference citation or contain bibliographic details. Additionally, footnotes should not include figures, tables, or reference symbols for the article title or authors. In the text, footnotes are numbered consecutively, while those for tables are indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for statistical data).

Tables

Tables included in manuscripts should be appropriately designed, with single spacing applied throughout, including headings and footnotes. Each table should be placed on a separate page, numbered consecutively, and provided with a heading and a legend. Tables should be self-explanatory, and redundant presentation of the same data in both table and graph form or repeated in the text should be avoided. MS Excel files should not be embedded as objects. If the submission is in PDF format, authors are requested to also retain a copy in .doc format to facilitate the completion of the process successfully.

Figures

Preferred file formats are .doc and JPEG for photographic images. Adobe Photoshop files needed for layered images. Ensure optimal resolutions and close cropping of images.

Numerals

Figures must be labeled with Arabic numerals, and their parts should be labeled with uppercase letters (e.g., Figure 1:). Each legend must include a title and provide adequate description for the figure to be understood without reading the text. Information presented in legends should not be duplicated in the text.

Additional Information

Discrete items of the Supplementary Information should be submitted in a new file and must be explained properly.

e-Prints

PDFs will be sent to the corresponding author as the final version of the manuscript. No further changes will be made, except for typographical errors. Authors will have free electronic access to the full text and can download the PDF for unlimited printing.

Publication Fee

The Social Pulse is an Open Access, self-sustaining journal that does not receive funding from institutions or governments. The journal's operations are financed by handling fees from authors and academic/corporate sponsors. These fees cover journal maintenance costs. All published articles are freely accessible online. While there are no submission charges, authors are required to pay a handling fee of $150 (one hundred and fifty US dollars only) only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Fee waivers are available for those who are unable to pay. Requests for fee waivers should be made prior to or at the point of submission and sent to the journal's account section at info@irahpress.com.

Copyright Notice

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work has not been previously published, except as an abstract, part of a published lecture, or thesis, and is not under consideration elsewhere. All works published by the Social Pulse are freely available under a CC BY license, allowing copying, distribution, transmission, and adaptation, provided proper attribution is given. Authors retain copyright under Creative Commons. The publisher bears no legal responsibility for compensation claims.

Permissions

Authors must obtain permission from copyright holders for reusing published figures, tables, or text. Evidence of this permission must be submitted with the paper; otherwise, the material will be considered authored by the submitting authors.

Source Files

Submit all necessary editable source files with every submission and revision to ensure your article is considered for review. Use standard word processing formats like .docx or .doc for your manuscript text.

Statements and Declarations

The following statements should be included under the heading "Statements and Declarations" for inclusion in the published paper. Please note that submissions that do not include relevant declarations will be returned as incomplete.

Competing Interests: Authors are required to disclose financial or non-financial interests that are directly or indirectly related to the work submitted for publication. Please refer to “Competing Interests and Funding” below for more information on how to complete this section.

Plagiarism Policy

This Journal follows a plagiarism policy aligned with Higher Education Commission (Islamabad, Pakistan) guidelines, allowing up to 19% plagiarism. Authors are encouraged to submit a Turnitin report with their manuscripts for convenience.

Privacy Policy

The authors' credentials will not be disclosed to any third party in order to protect their privacy.

Compliance with Ethical Standards

To ensure objectivity and transparency in research and to ensure that accepted principles of ethical and professional conduct have been followed, authors should include information regarding sources of funding, potential conflicts of interest (financial or non-financial), informed consent if the research involved human participants, and a statement on welfare of animals if the research involved animals.

Authors should include the following statements (if applicable) in a separate section entitled “Compliance with Ethical Standards” when submitting a paper:

  • Disclosure of potential conflicts of interest
  • Research involving Human Participants and/or Animals
  • Informed consent

The Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with the above-mentioned guidelines. The author will be held responsible for false statements or failure to fulfil the above-mentioned guidelines.

Competing Interests

Authors must disclose any interests related to the submitted work within the last 3 years. Interests beyond this timeframe that could influence the work must also be disclosed. This transparency aids readers in assessing bias. Financial relationships with sponsoring organizations or compensation for consultancy work are not necessarily inappropriate.

Editorial Board Members and Editors must declare competing interests and may be excluded from peer review. They should refrain from handling manuscripts where a competing interest exists. If an Editor or Board Member is an author, this must be disclosed. Submissions from Editorial Board Members receive no preferential treatment.

 

After Acceptance

Upon acceptance, your article will be exported to Production to undergo typesetting. Shortly after this you will receive two e-mails. One contains a request to confirm your affiliation, choose the publishing model for your article, as well as to arrange rights and payment of any associated publication cost. A second e-mail containing a link to your article’s proofs will be sent once typesetting is completed.

Article publishing agreement

Depending on the ownership of the journal and its policies, you will either grant the Publisher an exclusive licence to publish the article or will be asked to transfer copyright of the article to the Publisher.

Offprints

Offprints can be ordered by the corresponding author.

Color illustrations

Publication of color illustrations is free of charge.

Proof reading

The purpose of the proof is to check for typesetting or conversion errors and the completeness and accuracy of the text, tables and figures. Substantial changes in content, e.g., new results, corrected values, title and authorship, are not allowed without the approval of the Editor.

After online publication, further changes can only be made in the form of an Erratum, which will be hyperlinked to the article.

Online First

The article will be published online after receipt of the corrected proofs. This is the official first publication citable with the DOI. After release of the printed version, the paper can also be cited by issue and page numbers.
